Death has always been an inevitable element. But, a sudden and unexpected death can hit people with a long lasting agony. Something similar has happened in case of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. Known for his immense contribution in the field of science, India’s defense and politics, the journey of this highly talented and educated man from being the ‘missile man’ to the ‘People’s President’ of India, wasn’t an easy one. He was raised in a very poor Muslim family, but his towering dreams provoked him to work hard and reach his goals. He is a very inspirational personality who has evoked the spirit of dreaming and working hard, in the hearts of millions of people. And with his death, undoubtedly the golden era has come to an end.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s death has not only developed gloomy clouds over the entire nation, but it was shocking as well for many, especially for the IIT students of Shillong, where Kalam had spoken his last words, and taken his last breath. This man wasn’t just a renowned scientist or the ‘people’s president’, Kalam was equally applauded for his way of communicating with the masses. He was really a good orator and communicator, and his words of wisdom shall always linger in our heart and mind.
Teacher, scientist, genius, author, musician, and a long-hair enthusiast — there are many different hats that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam wore in his lifetime. Kalam also had an inner child who loved interacting with children. Even though Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam isn’t there between us, his words of wisdom are still alive in everyone’s heart. Let’s pray so that his soul rests in peace, and follow his words of wisdom to create a better India, and a better world.
